INVERCARGILL. May 10. Non-scheduled air services taking in Manapouri and charter services from Manapouri are among applications by South Pacific Airlines of New Zealand listed for hearing in July by the Air Services Licensing Authority.

Also listed for hearing is one application by the National Airways Corporation. It seeks a scheduled passenger and freight service between Christchurch-Nelson-Palmerston NorthAuckland and vice-versa by Friendship aircraft, operating on Mondays. Fridays and Sundays of each week until December 19, when the frequency would be increased to one service daily, seven days a week. The addition of two DC3 aircraft for scheduled service operations and a third DC3 for charter, tourist and nonscheduled operations is sought by Airlines of New Zealand. Among many scheduled services sought by the airline is one between Dunedin and Invercargill, with or without an intermediate stop at Alexandra. Frequency It may seek also an increase in the frequency of the main trunk services to and from Invercargill, which is served on three days a week just now on the airline’s trunk services. Many non-scheduled services are sought by Airlines of New Zealand. They include Christchurch and Manapou ri, Timaru. Hokitika. Manapouri and Invercargill. Alexandra, Dunedin: Alexandra and Dunedin, Oamaru. Timaru, Invercargill.

Invercargill, Dunedin, Manapouri, and Alexandra are among the aerodromes or traffic areas from which the airline wan’s to operate air chartar services to any licensed aerodrome in New Zealand.

It wants also to operate an air taxi service from ail aerodromes or traffic centres from which it is licensed to operate charter services. It seeks, further, the removal of restrictions so ;t can opera’e joy rides and scenic flights provided the company grants the local aero club (where applicable) 5 per cent, of the net profits of such operations.
