CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER: Duties will include setting up and operating, under the Chief Executive, the Finance, Accounting and Internal Audit Branch of the Volta River Authority, advising on financial . policy, and assisting in the establishment and organisation of the remaining branches of the Authority. Experience must include the operation of the accounts and financial sections of a large public utility organisation as Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant, and should include experience in an electricity supply undertaking. 2. CHIEF ENGINEER: Duties will include, under the Chief Executive, all aspects of the construction of one of the largest hydro-electric projects in the world, the establishment of the organisation to manage the technical operation of the project when completed, planning for future expansion and the operation of safety and flood control measures. Experience should include senior responsibility for engineering construction on major hydroelectric projects, preferably involving rock-fill dam construction. 3. CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER: Duties will include the organisation and supervision of all health measures covering the construction township and the lakeside area, including the initiation and conduct of largescale epidemic control measures for malaria, trypanosomiasis, onchocerciasis, and bilharziasis. Experience should include work in tropical areas of comparable importance and complexity. 4. CHIEF ELECTRICAL ENGINEER ■ Duties, under the Chief Engineer. will include all aspects of the construction of the generating, transmission and control installations for the project, involving an initial rated capacity of 512,000 kilowatts and a 161 Kv. transmission system, and the operation of the power facilities when completed. Experience should include responsibility as Chief Electrical Engineer or Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer in a similar undertaking both during construction and operation. 5. EPIDEMIOLOGIST: Duties, under the Chief Medical Officer, will include all aspects of epidemic control, the establishment of the necessarv organisations to conduct special schemes for the control of malaria, trypanosomiasis, onchocerciasis, bilharziasis, and any other diseases which may arise in the circumstances of the creation of a 3250 square mile lake in a tropical climate, and assistance in similar matters in the construction township. Experience should Include specialised epidemic control measures of similar magnitude. Salaries payable will be commensurate with tile stature and experience of the selected candidates and the importance and responsibilities of their posts.
