Duck Shooter Drowned

A duck shooter was drowned in the remote far northern Horseshoe Lake on Saturday morning when a punt upset as decoys were being retrieved. He was: Mahi Keepa, aged 53. married, dairy fanner, of Takao. His companion. Mr Ramiera Henare, who was also thrown into the water, struggled through reeds to the shore, threw off his gumboots and oilskins, returned and brought Mr Keepa to land.
