Snead Wins By Seven Strokes

The Tournament of Champions at Las Vegas was won today by the veteran professional, Sam Snead, by seven strokes. Snead scored a three-under-par 69 for the final round. His 72-ho!e total of 273 was 15 under par. He won 10,000 dollars and passed the 280,000 dollars mark in tournament winnings. Tommy Bolt (U.S.A.) was second.

Gary Player (South Africa) finished with a 75, to tie with Jay Hebert and Stan Leonard of Canada on 284.
