The Matamata light-weight Jockey. Ross Fisher, who was an apprentice when he won the last Auckland Cup on Ruato. has accepted an engagement to ride for a Sydney stable. Fisher will leave for Australia after the Waikato meeting. He finished his apprenticeship a few months ago with 70 wins on his record, and he has had several successes since.
