NEW EJECTION SEAT—A new British rocketpowered aircraft ejection seat blasting 360ft into the air with Flight Lieutenant W. T. Hay, formerly of the Royal Air Force, aboard. It was the first manned test at Chaigrove, Oxfordshire. The device will enable a pilot to bail out successfully at extremely low altitudes from an aircraft in a nose-dive or in downward flight.
