CAPTAIN GEORGE HENNESSY
An Appreciation
A contributor to 'The Press” of long standing writes: "Captaih George Hennessy who died recently, was commissioned m the British Army as a young man. He came out to Canterbury nearly 40 years ago and married and settled down to
farm at Morven. He will always be remembered by his numerous friends for two qualities in particular—his Irish charm and humour which made him delightful as a companion; and the unfailing courage and equanimity with which he bore illness. "He made a valuable con-, trsbution by returning to regimental duties during the last war and always spoke ■with the highest praise ot New Zealanders as he saw them in training."
