(N.Z P-A .-Reuter— Copyright) MIAMI, May 3. A two - masted sailing classroom for the sons of wealthy parents sank in a violent storm in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. Four of the 14 teenage students of the Albatross were believed lost. Also missing were the captain’s wife, 30-year-old Mrs Alice Sheldon, who was the ship’s doctor, and the cook, George Ptatnik, of California. The skipper. Captain Christopher Sheldon, and 10 students and two male teachers were picked up from lifeboats by a passing cargo ship and left for Tampa, Florida.
