MISS L. ASHBY, one of the province’s most promising younger lawn tennis players. Miss Ashby, from Kaiapoi, attended the Auckland coaching school last August, and her play this season has shown general improvement. She has won the girls’ doubles titles at the secondary schools championship and at the country championship, both with Miss D. Corich, and has a good record in the local senior women's competition.
