Carlaw Park
The Auckland Rugby League has spent £2200 on an improved drainage system at Carlaw Park. Last year the manager of the French touring team. Mr Antoine Blain, was most concerned about the shocking ground conditions his side encountered for its three matches in Auckland. During the off-season, an area 30 yards wide in the centre of the field was drained and returfed, and it can be expected that future test matches will be played on hard grounds that will encourage fast, open league
