Results of the first round of ' the Canterbury District Ladies | Golf Association's 18-hole competition were:— I Lincoln beat Avondale by 38 holes to 33; Russley beat Tai Tapu by 45 holes to 25: Rangiora beat Little River by 39 holes to 33, Greendale beat Hagley by 56 to 25; Templeton beat Waimairi by 48 to 30; Christchurch beat Ellesmere by 39 to 38; Harewood beat Hororata by 41 to 37; Rawhiti beat Richmond Hill by 43 to 23; Amberley beat Kalapoi by 43 to 37; Windsor beat Charteris Bay by 44 to 30.
