Jewish Women

The Christchurch branch of the Union of Jewish Women welcomed to its monthly meeting the Dominion president of the union (Mrs D. Charles, of Wellington) who gave a brief outline of Dominion executive work over the last year and of her interest in the work done by similar groups she had visited in Australia. The area president- (Mrs E. Hollander) reported on the success of the day’s outing organised recently to entertain the older girls the group sponsors at Templeton Farm School and advised that presents and a large birthday cake decorated with all the girls’ names had been received by them. Arrangements were made to organise a series of sewing days so that articles would be ready for sale at the charity stall at the Industries Fair in August for which application had been made.
