Pleasant Point Prices

“The Press” Special Service TIMARU, May 4. A capacity yarding of about 1400 head of breeding cows, heifers and steers were yarded for the open cattle sale at Pleasant Point today. For the most part breeding and quality were excellent, and the yarding included numerous pens of station-bred cattle. The sale was followed by a very large gallery of farmers from North Canterbury to Otago. From the outset the demand was very keen, and a buoyant tone prevailed throughout the auction. Values were: breeding heifers £32 to £4B. breeding cows £25 to £45. heifers (empty) £26 to £36 10s, steers £27 to £42.
