Death Toll May Be

Higher

(N.Z P.A.-Neuter—Copyright) CARACAS (Venezuela), May 3. A fireworks factory exploded early today and the blast destroyed almost an entire block of 25 homes, killing at least 23 persons. Rescue workers who brought out the bodies feared the death toll would be higher. Thirty persons were rushed to hospital with Injuries from the violent explosion. Authorities said, however, that possibly as many as 75 persons were hurt The blast occurred eariy today in the La Pastora district. The flreworks plant was located in a house there. The cause of the explosion iwas not immediately known.
