Youths Excluded From Theatre

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 3. The manager of a suburban theatre has blamed a gang of teen-age youths for seatslashings and breakages, cost, ing an average of £l2 a week to repair. Mr K. C. Burley, managing director of the Delta Theatre, New Lynn, has excluded the youths from the theatre. They also disturbed other patrons by cat-calling at one another across the theatre while films were being shown, he said. Mr Burley, who also manages four other city theatres, claimed such damage had been costing an average of £l2 a week for each theatre. There had been little trouble since the gang, whose ages ranged from 15 to 18, had been excluded, he said.
