The possibilities of forming an all-weather track in Christchurch are to be explored at the next meeting of the Canterbury centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, to be held on May 25. At the meeting, Mr P. B. Andrews, a member of the executive, will report on discussions held with the director of Parks and Reserves in Christchurch, Mr H. G. Gilpin. The president of the centre. Mr W. D. Johnston, told the executive last night that he had discussed the matter with Mr Andrews and Mr K. S. Jameson, another member of the executive, and as a result of their discussions Mr Andrews had approached Mr Gilpin. Last night’s meeting also learned that facilities at th" University of Canterbury will be available for the winter training of athletes. Mr Johnston said that clubs would be able to avail themselves of the opportunity for training on a combined basis.
