Apprentice On Visit

As a gesture towards the success of Commonwealth Technical Training Week in New Zealand, a British company is sending to New Zealand a 20-year-old apprentice for a four weeks’ stay. He is Mr Michael Martin, who will arrive in Wellington on May 25 and will be looked after during his visit by a New Zealand associate of the British company. Mr Martin will spend most of his first week in Wellington, and will then visit other parts of New Zealand. The visit will reciprocate that of Mr G. W. Pawson, an engineering trainee, aged 20. who is being sent to Britain by his employees for the observance of Commonwealth Technical Training Week there.
