ON-THE-SPOT FINES

<N.Z Preu Asm—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 3. The New South Wales State Government has approved a system of on-the-spot fines for traffic offences. The scheme will enable ordinary policemen to issue tickets for fines of £1 to £lO for minor traffic, parking and pedestrian offences. Persons receiving tickets will be able to pay the fines at places to be named or post them to the secretary of the Police Department.
