Safe Opened With Meat Choppers
(N Z. Preu Association) NAPIER, May 3. A steel safe was hacked open with meat choppers when Porter’s Meat Store, at the corner of Coote and France roads. Napier, was broken into last night. About £l2O in cash was stolen. The safe was hauled out of the office and carried into a chiller. It is thought that once the safe was mside the chiller—which can be opened from the inside—little of the noise caused when the safe was being cut open would be heard.
