Results of macthes were:— At Manchester.—Match abandoned. Leicester 186 and one for 27; Lancashire 208. At Birmingham. Match abandoned. Essex eight for 331 declared; Warwickshire nine for 354 declared. At Oxford.—Match abandoned. Gloucestershire 195 (Carpenter 50). Oxford University 179. At Lords. Yorkshire 127 and 242 beat M.C.C. 156 and 153 (J. Parks 41. E. Clarke 54). At Cambridge.—Surrey 290 and 164 drew with Cambridge University 199 and nine for 210 (A. Lewis 66. N. Hoddy 57).
