Menzies Cuts Engagements (IV .2 Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA. May 3. The Prime Minister of Australia (Mr Menzies* is cutting down on his official engagements—an indication that he is preparing for Federal elections in December, according to political observers. There has, however, been no official announcement of the election date. Observers said that Mr Menzies, who is 67. is obviously conserving his strength for strenuous election campaigning. Australian GoveruurGeneral.—The GovernorGeneral designate of Australia, Viscount De Lisle, and his family, will leave England for Australia on the Orcades on July 5 The Orcades is due on July 29. it wag announced in Canberra today—Canberra (Reuter).
