BOXING IN SCHOOLS
Move Made For Re-establishment ’•The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. May 1 The Wellington Boxing Association instructed the incoming committee at the annual meeting to approach headmasters with a view to re-establishing boxing in secondary schools. Mr J. B. Kent, moving the motion, said that boxing's future rested with youngsters. “We should try and encourage it in the schools,” he said. Mr P. T. Gallagher thought that “parents would be keen to have their sons shown something.” Mr B. F. O’Brien said he thought the boys themselves were not keen. “There are too many other forms of diversion these days." Visit To Coast Doctors.— Dr. A. W. S. Thompson, director of clinical services’. Health Department, will visit special area general practitioners on the West Coast during May j 45 to 19.
