Grant), the naval recruiter (Chief Communications Yeoman A. E. F. Gilmour) and his successor (Chief Communications Yeoman R. Lassetter). The recruiting team has visited nearly every school of the two provinces—“not just tor recruiting purposes,” said Yeoman Gilmour, “just a case of showing the flag. We’ve only spoken about recruiting matters when specifically asked to do so by headmasters."
The actual recruiting was done in Christchurch, Ashburton. Timaru. Greymouth and Westport. Yeoman Gilmour declined to give the numbers of those presenting themselves, but said it was about the same as in previous years. Staying at School

He will leave shortly for Auckland to rejoin his trade at the R.N.Z.N. port communications centre.
Since he was posted to Christchurch as the recruiter last June, about 25 men have been through his office and provisionally accepted by the Navy.
