, Christchurch Wahine Club. 4 —The second hui of the

Christchurch Wahine Club J was held recently when more than 100 members and 34 , visitors attended. The vice-

president (Mrs E. Blazey) presided, and was installed by the chief wahine (Mrs

Joan Bissett). Mrs Guy Man- * nering gave a talk on her journey up the Colorado t river and rapids. This was illustrated by slides. Mrs S. . Rustin gave vocal items, and Mrs S. Nesbit gave a pianoforte solo. A judo display was given by ‘‘Juanita and Pauline” of the Can-Am-Ju Club, and compered by Mrs J. Feilding. Humorous sketches f were given by Mesdames S. Naysmith, N. McPherson, B ■ Kennedy, N. Hamilton and E. Pickles The club’s choir * gave items, accompanied by Mrs B. Williams, and conducted by Mrs E. Pickles. West of England Women’s Association.—Mrs M Lc»an presided at the recent

twenty-third birthday party ' of the West of England Women’s Association. Humorous sketches were given by

Mesdames M. Logan. E. Garlick. A. Rhodes, G. Trueman.
