Golf OPEN TOURNEY IN TEXAS
Another Win To Palmer (N.ZJ’.A.-Reuter— Coppripht) SAN ANTONIO (Texas), April 30.
Arnold Palmer snatched another victory today when he won his second consecutive Texas open golf tournament.
It was Palmer’s fourth tournament title of the current professional tour. The 4300 dollars of first place money boosted his year’s winnings to about 39,800 dollars.
This year’s Masters’ Tournament champion, Gary Player, ended with a total of 277, which he shared with the Sydney professional. Frank Phillips, and six others.
Australia’s Bruce Crampton had a 86 for his best round of the tournament In earlier rounds he scored 71, 72 and 71.
