(NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 1. The Minister of Defence (Mr Eyre) said today it had been decided to appoint a Services liaison officer for duty at his office for six months.

• If the appointment was [ found to be useful then it ■ would be continued, an offi- • cer from one of the three ; Services doing a tour of duty ■ in turn.

The first appointment is Lieutenant Commander R Adams, Royal New Zealand Navy.
