Colonial Sugar Shares Ease On ’Change
Colonial Sugar shares again eased yesterday in trading on New Zealand stock exchanges. They sold at £7O in Dunedin, £69 10s in Christchurch and £6B 15s in Auckland. Friday’s price was £7O, and on April 19 they were at a peak of £72. Turnovers were reduced, and most prices were unchanged. Price movements were narrow. L. J. Hooker shares were fractionally weaker, but the rights were firmer. National Insurance shares, in last cum dividend business, regained Gd of last week’s losses to sell at 24s 6d. Seven New Zealand issues were firmer and eight New Zealand issues were weaker. There were four losses and two gains among the Australians traded. Rights to Buntings, one-for-five issue at an 8s premium had first business yesterday at Bs.
