AUCKLAND, May 1
Two teen-age girls were assaulted, and are thought to have been threatened with razor-slashing, as they walked together through Maitai road. Greenlane, Auckland, on Saturday night.
The girls are Crown witnesses in a case to come before the Auckland Supreme Court this session.
Detectives are seriously concerned at the incident. The incident occurred about 11 p.m. as the girls, aged 17 and 18, were returning from a theatre.
They said they saw a car pass slowly, with the occu-
pants looking very hard at them. Soon after four men came up to them from behind. The four threatened them and punched them about the face. Both suffered black eyes.
Detectives afterwards found a razor blade lying at the scene.
