(N.Z Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 30. A farmer, aged 29, of Longwood, about 30 miles from Invercargill was found with a bullet wound in his head on Saturday night. The farmer, George Hamilton Mathieson. married. with three children, was rushed to Kew Hospital, Invercargill, but died at about 6 am. today He was found on a bed in a hut a short distance from his parents’ house about 10.30 p.m. on Saturday, by a younger brother.
