French Design Obtained (N Z Press Association) INVERCAROaX, April 30. A Piel Emeraude. an aircraft of French design, will be assembled by members of the Southland Aero Club. The plans, which were ordered 12 months ago. have Just arrived and work began on Saturday. The aircraft will be the only one of its type to be assembled in this way in New Zealand Tt is a low-winged kinele-eneined, ultra-light (under 1200ib> type. According to members of the club, this two-seater plane should prove popular. Twelve members of the elub originally decided to build the aircraft, but they have now enlisted the aid of other members. They will buy all the materials and assemble everything themselves. It is not known bow much the plane will cost, but it is expected to be “fairly cheap.” /" / v
