RED CROSS LIAISON
Two Visitors From Geneva fN.Z. Press Association* WELLINGTON, April 30. Miss Anny Pflrter, of the International Red Cross Committee, Geneva, and Miss Yvonne Hentsch. of the League of Red Cross societies, also erf Geneva, arrived in Wellington today bent on establishing personal contact between the International Red Cross Movement and National Red Cross Societies. New Zealand, said Miss Hentsch, was one of the international committee's steady supporters of relief appeals The Junior Red Cross was also “very active” in New Zealand and held its own. Miss Pfirter said there was a need to build up the V.A.D.’s in both nursing and social work because of their value to the community in both war and peace.
