Harriman In Laos

(N Z.P A -Reuter—Coptrrtohtt VIENTIANE, April 29 Mr Averill Harriman, President Kennedy’s roving Ambassador, flew into Vientiane today “to report on the situation here." Mr Harriman told a reporter at the airport that the Secretary of State (Mr Rusk) had asked him yesterday to come from Ankara. Turkey, to Laos. He said he would fly to Luang Prabang tomorrow to talk with the American Ambassador (Mr Winthrop Brown), and also hoped to talk with the Prime Minister (Prince Boun Oum) and the Deputy Prime Minister (General Phoumi Nosavan).
