LECTURER IN VETERINARY MEDICINE: Applicants should t. possess a degree in Veterinary Science from an approved r University or its equivalent. The appointee should have had at least three years’ postgraduate experience, including small animal practice. Duties will include lecturing to fourth and fifth year students and supervision of practical work; he will be expected to assist in the 7 urban large animal practice. ’ (May 30.) LECTURER IN CLASSICS: The vacant position is a full lectureship. not a Junior Lectureship. Applicants should have a good Honours Degree in Classics and should either have completed a course of postgraduate study in Classics or have had several years’ expens ence of teaching Classics f (whether in a School or at a b University). LECTURER IN ANIMAL HUSBANDRY: The department proposes to expand and develop work already in progress in s the fields of meat production and reproduction and invites . applications for a lectureship in • either of these two fields. In the field of meat production preference will be given to a ? candidate with knowledge of growth process in relation to body composition, carcase appraisal, and metabolism. Previous experience in the Meat f Industry would be valuable. In the field of reproduction, the applicant will be expected to lecture and do research in fertility and reproduction in sheep or cattle or in artificial insemonation with especial reference to cattle and pigs. ) Experience in these subjects is desirable, but consideration will be given to applicants with an 5 advanced basic background of nutrition, physiology or biochemistry. (May 31.) LECTURER IN CHEMISTRY: Applicants should possess a 1 higher degree, preferably a s PhD. Experience in University e teaching would be desirable t but not essential.
