Competition Results Cattle of E. L. Crosland filled all the major placings in the butterfat and milk competition results of which were announced at the annual meeting of the Midland Canterbury Jersey Cattle Club this week, and the cow which won the butterfat and milk competition also gained the Taunton Cup for the cow producing the highest amount of milk over 1000 gallons. Placings in the competitions were:
Butterfat and milk competition: E. L. Crosland’s Santa Clara Clarinda V.H.C. C.P. producing 7281 b of fat and 12.0901 b of milk with a test of 6 per cent. 1. E. L. Crosland’s Raithby Lady Caroline H.C. with 5901 b of fat and 99901 b of milk with a test of 69 per cent 2. E. L. Crosland’s F> ; thby Caress C producing 5301 b ot fat and 94501 b of milk with a test of 5.6 per cent. 3.
Taunton Cup presented by the Rossiter family: E. L. Crosland’s Sana Clara Clarinda, which produced 12.0901 b ot milk 1.
Officers were elected as follows:—President. Mr H. J. Hurford; vice-president. Mr R. Portis; committee, Messrs L. D. Adams, J. D. Boal, T E. Carter, L. P. Hawke. W. Inglis, M. Johnston. F. Lange and E. L. Crosland as pastpresident: auditor. Mr O. Cock: secretarv-treasurer, Mr M Duncan Jones; delegates to Combined Breeders’ Association, Messrs H. J. Hurford and E. L. Crosland; and delegates to South Island Federation of Jersey Cattle Clubs. Messrs H. J. Hurfbrd, R. Portis, L. P. Hawke and M. Johnson.
