There is also speculation about the possible use of American troops; but most diplomatic observers believe that if a decision is taken to intervene, it will be with troops from the Asian members of S.E.A.T.O. Thailand and Pakistan, both members of the Alliance, have said they are ready to provide troops to assist the Royal Laotian Government.
