A property at 33 Papanui road was sold for £6450 at auction on Thursday. It was offered on account of the trustees of the estate of A. Vernon Smith. The property consists of a section of 1 rood 34.9 perches, with a centrally heated house of six rooms Outbuildings include a garage, workshop, and potting shed.
The bidding started at £5500 and rose in three £250 bids and two of £lOO. The section is set back from the road and access is gained alotig a tree-lined drive. A 1954 Daimler car was also offered. It was sold for £1275. after bidding had started at £7OO.
