Free Vote For Govt. Members (N.Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON. April 28. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) was asked at his press conference tonight whether there would be a free vote on the Government side of the House of Representatives when the issue of New Zealand’s membership of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank was debated. “There is always a free vote on the National Party side of the House. National Party members have always had freedom of conscience.” he replied.
