Chrysanthemum Show Next Week..
The Canterbury Horticultural Society will be holding its annual chrysanthemum show on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, at the Latimer Hall, Gloucester street. This will be an excellent opportunity to see the queen of the autumn flowers at its very best, for numerous classes will be on display. Large-flowered exhibition varieties, decoratives. singles, anemone - centred types and thread petalled varieties will all add to the display. Besides over 100 classes for chrysanthemums, there are also classes for fruit, vegetables, cut flowers and decorative displays, creating a real autumn harvest atmosphere.
