Australian Shares Weak On ’Change Yesterday
Eleven falls and only two rise* were • recorded in the prices paid in Christchurch and elsewhere in New Zealand yesterday for Australian shares. Email, ex dividend of 3d since ] last New Zealand business on April 12 at 7s 6d, fetched 8s 6d. J Eactors lost a further 3d to sell at 4s, after sales last week up ! to 4s lid. , ’ ' Rises and falls among New Zealand shares were evenly balanced. J Ballins Industries, in business in Christchurch and in Wellington; ■ 1 recovered to 12s. M. O’Brien, in first business this month, moved up to j 7s 6d. Forest Products recovered tn 36s in Wellington business. ‘ Tasman, sold at 34s a few weeks ago, were down to 31s 6d. < New Zealand Breweries, South Otago Freezing, South British Insurance ‘ B. Wright, Stephenson, Evans Atlas and L. D. Nathan showed smaller ; losses. 1 T-b 3
