MR E. G. BEVEGE, the new president of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union, is the fifth Wanganui representative to hold the office. Mr Bevege has been associated with Rugby for more than 50 years and has held every executive office in the Kaierau club, for which he played before the First World War. Mr Bevege took part in landings at Gallipoli and because of war wounds he did not play football on his return to New Zealand.
