Naval Officer’s New Post

(M2 Hress Association) AUCKLAND. April 26. Captain T. D. Herrick, R.N.. has been appointed to H.M.S. Terror as captain of the fleet, Far East naval station. One of the five sons of Mr and Mrs E. J. Herrick, of Havelock North, Captain Herriek served as naval officer in | charge, Auckland, and was I commanding officer of! H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, from 1954 to 1956. When the double appointment was split he continued as naval officer in charge until he returned to Britain, where he became DeputyDirector of Manning at the Admiralty. In 1959 he was appointed captain of the dockyard and Queen's harbourmaster at Gibraltar.
