RETIREMENT OF MATRON

Presentation At Y.W.C.A. The retiring matron of the Young Women’s Christian Association Latimer Hostel (Mrs L. M. Wordley) was entertained at morning coffee yesterday at the Y.W.C.A. rooms. She was presented by the president of the board of directors (Mrs Owen Mitchell) with a paua shell brooch and ear-r.ngs set. Other speakers included the general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. (Miss B. J. Hardie), who spoke on behalf of the staff, and Mrs A. N. McLeod, chairman of the Latimer Hostel committee.

An old girl of the hostel. Mrs M. Clements, and Mrs Jean Rodgers and Miss Jean Holdemess also expressed their thanks to Mrs Wordley.
