NEW VENDING GROUP
Brit. Tob. Has Third Interest The British Tobacco group will have a one-third investment interest, with United States groups, in a company formed to distribute Seeburg automatic vending machines in Australia. A British Tobacco Company official said in Melbourne that the new company. Seeburg Automatic Products. Pty., Ltd., would be formed in Australia. It would be jointly owned by American Machine and Foundry Company, the Seeburg Corporation of Chicago, and W. D. and H. O. Wills (Aust.). Ltd., a British Tobacco subsidiary. Imported at Present Seeburg Automatic Products would distribute Seeburg automatic vending machines in Australia which at present were imported. They would later be made in Australia by arrangement with A. M. E. Sterling. Ltdin which W. D. and H. O. Wills has a partnership interest with American Machine and Foundry Company. The Wills organisation would not participate in the manufacture or distribution of machines. Gold Interim.—The Ciutha River Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., will pay an interim dividend of id a share, less British income tax, payable on May lb. The ex dividend date was April 15. Bank N.S.W. Interim.— The Bank of New South Wales has declared a steady interim dividend of 9s (Australian) a share, payable on May 25. ex May 6. Total payment last year was unchanged at 365, equal to 9 per cent. National Timber.—Directors advise they will recommend a final dividend of ninepence per share, making Is 3d, or 125 per cent., unchanged, for the
