WEEK-END OF FRENCH

University Team For Timaru The modern language department of the University of Canterbury will send a team of staff and students to Timaru this week-end to encourage a group of French students working there under the adult education department Messrs Gordon Troup, K. M. O’Neill. Bernard Poujol and Miss Nola Leov, of the languages staff, will lead about 14 students from Christchurch. On Saturday evening they will present in costume and in French, Moliere’s play, “Le Marriage Force.” During the rest of the week-end the visitors will assist Timaru enthusiasts (both adults and senior school pupils) in French conversation, folk songs, and dancing.
