Hospital Board Approval A machine signing facsimile printed signatures has been approved in principle by the North Canterbury Hospital Board. The Waikato board recently proposed an amendment to the Hospitals’ Act to authorise the drawing of cheques on boards’ bank accounts by such machines. and the Health Department's chief executive officer agreed to recommend the amendment if the four major boards were prepared to commend the need and desirability of these machines.
