Notifiable Diseases.—A case of hydatids and another of leptospirosis were among those notified in the Christchurch health district last week. The hydatids patient was a middle-aged countrywoman, and the leptospirosis was in a butcher. (Leptospirosis is normally an occupational disease of those who handle animals). Other cases notified included seven of infective hepatitis, two of tuberculosis, and one of pemphigus neonatorum. |
