Year’s Plans Discussed Plans for the coming year were discussed by members of the North Canterbury executive of the Country Women’s Institute recently at the first committee meeting for the year in the Waipara Halt The president (Mrs T. E. Crossed) spoke of the success of the visit by members from Marlborough to Cheviot. She said it would perhaps be possible to arrange other exchange tours in the future. Plans were made for an indoor bowls tournament at Cmihl in July and an Eisteddf : at Waipara iii September. The half-yearly meeting will be held at Cheviot and 12 members are considering attending the voluntary organisers’ school in Christchurch in May. i The presentation of a 35 mm. slide viewer to C.W.I. headquarters so that institutes throughout New Zealand could contribute slides of interest was suggested at the meeting.
