Visit South Planned A visit to Christchurch in late August for two games la planned by toe under-19 open grade team from toe Manurewa Rugby Club, of the Counties’ Union. This Information was contained in • letter from the club’s secretary received by the management committee of toe Canterbury Rugby Football Union on Monday evening. Definite dates for the visit had not yet been set, said the letter, but it was hoped to play one mid-week game and one on the next Saturday. The team sought games against two different club sides. The letter said the team won its grade in the Counties competition last season, scoring 347 points and having only 47 points registered against it The management committee resolved to advise all clubs of toe Manurewa team’s request. Advice was received from the New Zealand Rugby Football Union that the Christchurch club’s under--20 team had been granted permission to tour Australia in August, subject to its fulfilling all competition obligations before departure. The team's competition would end on August 12, the meeting was told. July 1 was agreed upon as the date for the Town v. Country game. Bad Language In Game The use of “'vile language” by players in a lower grade match last Saturday was reported to the meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Football Union on Monday evening by Mr J. Storey. He deplored the use of this language, especially as women and children had been at the game. At Mr Storey’s behest, the committee decided to bring the matter to the notice of the Referees’ Association and all clubs.
