The former New Zealand champion trotter Caduceus was second last night in the mile-and-a-quarter race on a rain soaked track at Yonkers Raceway, New York. ■ Mister Budlong, driven by Jimmy Cruise and starting favourite at three to five won by two lengths in the 25,000dollar Monitor Pace. Tar Boy finished a length behind Caduceus in third place. The winner's time was 2min 39.25ec. Su Mac Lad Wins Rich Race (U.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, April 21. The American trotter Su Mac Lad won the 50-000-dol-lar (about £22,3201 United Nations Trot here last night over a top field of international horses at Yonkers Raceway. The Canadian horse Tie Silk was second half a length away and Tornese, of Italy, was third, another two lengths and a quarter back. There were two French, two Italian and one German horse in the mile and a half event.

Su Mac Lad, starting favourite at 17 to 10, was timed In 3min 10 4-ssec.
