WORLD RED CROSS DAY
International Red Cross day—the day when Red Cross members of 75 national societies commemorate the anniversary of the birth of the founder of the mpvement, Jean Henri Dunant, will be observed tomorrow. It is the day when the public is reminded of the work of the organisation and when members re-dedicate themselves to serve humanity through the Red Cross In New Zealand the anniversary this year will have added significance because it was almost 25 years ago that the New Zealand Red Cross was officially recognised a member of the International Red Cross. Before then the organisation had existed as a branch of the British society.
